The Nepal Private Equity Association (NPEA) comprises private equity and venture capital fund managers in Nepal. Currently it consists of 22 ‘regular’ members which includes private equity and venture capital fund managers and 9 ‘associates’ members comprising business service providers such as law firms and audit firms. As a representative entity, NPEA plays a pivotal role in representing all stakeholders within the private equity and venture capital ecosystem. Established as a profit-distributing entity under the Companies Act, NPEA is governed by a dedicated Board of Directors and propelled by committed secretariats. Along with the goal of promoting access to finance to SMEs in Nepal, the NPEA also strives to advance innovation, entrepreneurship, and job creation.
As a representative entity, the association serves as a vital bridge among its members by offering a platform for networking, training, research, and resource sharing. We are committed to fostering a sustainable investment environment and shaping policy to support the growth of Nepal’s alternative investment ecosystem. Our initiatives—ranging from training programs and networking events to awareness campaigns—are designed to strengthen the private and alternative investment landscape, enhance professional competencies, and facilitate meaningful connections between local and international industry stakeholders.
Our Activities

Policy Advocacy & Lobbying
NPEA engages with regulators and government agencies to advocate for a conducive legal and regulatory environment that supports sustainable private equity and venture capital (PE/VC) investments in Nepal.

Networking Events
NPEA orchestrates a diverse array of networking events. These events provide opportunities for meaningful interactions among NPEA members as well as with influential individuals and organizations within the industry.

Training Events
NPEA coordinates a range of training programs tailored for its members with the objective of enhancing the professionalism and knowledge base of PEVC professionals in Nepal.

Research
NPEA provides periodic insights to all the members and conducts commissioned research to provide reliable and accurate research on specific sectors as required.
